MASSIVE £800k refurbishment for Wolverhampton Grand has revealed a smart new look for the dress circle bar.

The work will take place when the theatre goes dark and closes for its annual in the summer maintenance period.

Around the same time, across the road from the Grand Theatre, Wolverhampton’s Central Youth Theatre will be starting work on its new permanent home following a £384k Arts Council England capital grant it revealed a few weeks back. The 33 year old youth theatre’s new base will include rehearsal studios available to hire, a costume hire service, a video editing suite and a theatre cafe bar.

So, add to this the brilliant Wolverhampton University Arena Theatre just a bit further up the road, its shaping up for the city to have a top notch theatre district up and running in Wolverhampton this coming autumn to look forward to.

We can’t find any detail about the refurb yet on the Grand Theatre website, but we will post a link as soon as there is.
