The 2017 Alchemy Black Country festival kicks of on Saturday May 20 with two superb performances by Circus Raj
Performing breath-taking acts of courage and bravery – preserved over many centuries from the time of the Maharajas – their new show takes this ancient, mystical and magical circus format on to even greater heights.
Circus Raj’s cast of dancers, illusionists, aerialists, acrobats and rope walkers, with the eye-watering displays by their fakir, present a colourful, vibrant, fast-moving extravaganza of intrigue, drama, feats of daring, music, laughter and surprise.
The event is free for children and £5 for adults

ABOUT ALCHEMY
Alchemy Black Country showcases the dynamic creativity and cultural connections between South Asia and the UK and is a touring partnership project between Black Country Touring, Cast Doncaster, Oldham Coliseum Theatre and Southbank Centre. The tour is generously supported by Arts Council England.
ABOUT GLASSHOUSE ARTS CENTRE
The Glasshouse Arts Centre is housed in a former glass factory in the heart of Stourbridge’s Glass Quarter, comprises an array of craft workshops, social enterprises, studios for local artisans. The site is an artistic and cultural hub for local groups, theatre performances, conferencing and hospitality events.
The Glasshouse Arts Centre facilities include a 400 capacity auditorium, a 100 capacity studio theatre, a large multi-use first floor extension and 2 commercial workshops.
