ABOUT DRAMA AND SOME
Drama AND SOME was set up in 2009. A community interest company (not for profit organisation) based in the West Midlands. They are vibrant and diverse and brimming with imaginative ideas drawing on local talent to bring collaborative works to life.
They have been given partial funding from Arts Council England to rehearse and perform our pilot evening of two one woman shows; ‘Foodbankers and Dance Home Arika’ at Thimblemill Library in Smethwick on the 30th July 2016.
Their last major production ‘Black Country Blues,’ toured successfully and was well received by local audiences.
Suzan Spence (Company Director) is a writer and actor. She is the founder of Drama AND SOME c.i.c.
Robert Warrington (Company Director) is a poet, playwright and member of the Birmingham-based writers group Big Script.
Harj Bhela (Company Director) is a financial advisor and member of West Bromwich writers group.
In 2010 Suzan Spence worked in partnership with Rachel Sambrooks of Blossom Theatre Company on Avatars Live at The Public.
In 2011 Suzan toured with Blossom Theatre’s ‘Recycled Puppet Show’, which was co-written with Rachel Sambrooks.
In February 2013 Drama AND SOME became a Community Interest Company.
