Pippa Frith in association with Birmingham Repertory Theatre present The Forensics of a Flat and Other Stories written and performed by Francesca Millican-Slater
The piece was performed to great acclaim when it initially ran at the Birmingham Rep in May 2015. Now, complete with a new pair of jeans, Francessca brings the hugely enjoyable one woman show to the Arena Theatre, Wolverhampton on Wednesday 2nd March at 7.30pm
About The Show
“I live in a flat made of wooden walls, 70s carpet and doors that are locked from the other side. In the dark of the night, I listen to the building. It tells of finger prints on door handles, skins cells in the carpet and ghosts in the plumbing.”
A dissection of the history of a building and its surrounding area in the south of Birmingham. Francesca tells stories about her beloved flat, the area it stands in, what it used to be, what it will become and the people that have populated it. It’s a bit stand up, a bit biography, a bit documentation, a love affair with a local area to the tune of bad Karaoke.
“A rising star”
Lyn Gardner, The Guardian
“Francesca Millican-Slater’s warm, engaging personality shone through in her solo show about a beloved 70s flat”
